Crowborough’s new Rotary Club, which was launched recently by Graham Bucksey, Consultant here at Scribe Property Management and Stephen Tester from Tester & Jones Funeral Services, is holding a charity golf day on Wednesday 27 October.
The event is being held at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club and will be raising money for Wealden Dementia Forum, which has the goal of making the towns and villages of Wealden dementia friendly and supporting people with dementia, including their carers and families.
Plans for the Forum in Crowborough include launching a new community café, to be held once a month at the Oasis Community Church.
Teams are being invited to sign-up for the four-ball event, which features a shot-gun start and also includes a nearest the pin contest and a putting competition. The day will conclude with a dinner in the club house, where there will be a raffle for the charity. Zoe Sorrell and Debbie Peters, representatives from Wealden Dementia Forum, have been invited to attend the dinner to present the prizes.
The cost for entering a team is £280, while there is an option of just attending the meal in the evening for £25 a head.
